Anthony Robbins is a world renown motivational and personal development coach. He is the author of several best sellers such as ‘Awaken The Giant Within’,'Unlimited Power’ and the most recent being  which he called ‘Deliberate Creation’.  He is based in the United States and had traveled to many countries and spoken to over three million people.

One of the success key factor highlighted in “Awaken The Giant Within’ is that one must take massive action to create positive outcomes. You can’t just wish or hope for it and then procrastinate.  A lot of people like to delay, put off or find excuse not to take action because they refuse to move out from their comfort zones.

Many of those key concepts expounded by him are relevant to not just how to be successful in life, more so in the area of Internet marketing and online business where one must have the right mindset and tenacity to succeed.

Some of the core concepts described in his books are not rocket science or some mambo jumbo ancient secrets .  He talked about ‘one brain two minds’, the conscious and the subconscious mind that interacts in various complex situations which then determine the ultimate response a person will make. By default, under duress many of our reactions to crisis or challenges are less ideal and drive us further away from achieving our goals and objectives.

Believe In Yourself
You can achieve anything you want  provided you believe in yourself. You are more capable than you think. The only obstacle that keeps you from achieving your goal is yourself.  Yes,you heard it right, you are your own biggest obstacle.  Of course self belief is only part of the equation. You need to have other important qualities to succeed, so please continue to read on.

Focus On Your Desire And Cause
Robbins wrote that anyone can realize their aspirations if they put their heart,mind and soul working relentlessly and passionately towards what they strongly believe in. Taking action is not enough because you need to have the passion and purpose to keep the momentum going.

Many people started with big dreams and actions but then give up when the going gets tough because they lack the strong personal conviction to carry them through turbulent times.

Power Of Self Hypnosis
It is human instinct to resist change because we are basically creature of comfort and we seek stay put in our own comfort zone. One of the common traits that many high achiever shared is the willingness and ability to take on risks and adapt to new challenges. Self hypnosis is a powerful method to control your subconscious mind and train your brain to feel relaxed as you take on new behavior and purpose in unfamiliar environment.

Success begins with having the right mind set.  Having determination and hard work is not enough, you need to understand and control your subconscious so that it reverberates in synchronous and align with the energy, better known as the ‘chi’ that governs everything from the law of attraction to your ultimate destiny.

Do not underestimate the power of article marketing. Some people assumed that it is no longer effective or obsolete to generate incoming links or back links due to to ever increasing popularity of social media web 2.0 that has combined traffic surpassing that of mighty Google.

Is that really the case? Is building natural search traffic to your site via article distribution obsolete? Such assumption is far from the truth. On the contrary, more people are searching and leveraging on syndicated contents to attract visitors and to promote related business websites.

Social Interaction Do Not Equate Online Shopping
Content marketing is a time tested strategy to improve a site’s page ranking and to build targeted traffic more effectively compare to lets say a Facebook Fan-page . It is not that difficult to understand why it is so.

Social media networks by their very nature are basically and foremost geared towards social interaction and not the place for people to buy things online. People normally don’t go to Facebook to buy things but rather to socialize.

Too Much Distraction
For instance, people make use of Facebook to communicate or keep  in touch with fans and friends.  This can be easily accomplish through various means and activities such as sharing of photos, movies, games, blogs, status,  online chat and etc. There are practically too many widgets in Facebook which competes for the user attention!. Your chances of making any sales or collect any targeted leads are quite slim.

In summary, you should not ignore article marketing; it is not obsolete technique as many people make it up to be  It is a time tested proven working strategy which perhaps no longer work as effective as before nevertheless with some creativity and slight tweak to the approach, you can in fact generate massive traffic to your site.

Okay, here I am sitting in my study room staring at the computer monitor screen not knowing what to write. I guess I am suffering from mental block because my mind is blank!  It seems  that as of  late, it is taking me longer and far in between to update my blog.  I am not sure why, well perhaps it might be due to other distractions that gets the better of me.

Resistance to writing or writers block is a common phenomena that besets many writers and bloggers. You can overcome mental block with various techniques. Writing is fun if you enjoy doing so, what if you suffer from mental block and you just can’t seem able to formulate your thoughts no matter how hard you try? I am sure even the best gifted writer and blogger encounter such problem one way or another.

My mind just seems to wonder off easily, as if into twilight zone for no apparent reason. I guess one of the reasons was that I don’t sleep well lately.  I used to sleep at six hours every day but of recent  it seems that even after past midnight I am still wide awake in bed!.  No doubt adequate quality sleep is extremely important, lacking of which might cause a person to become lethargic and unable to focus on work during the day.

If you want to shorten your life or kaput early then by all means continue to deprive yourself of quality sleep.  Have you heard of that catch phrase ‘a  sleep deprived man is an angry man ?  Oh ,yes, I guess it is quite true because your whole body, particularly your hormone go off balance, blood pressure rise and you will have harder time to control your mood and temper when your body is not given adequate time to recharge.

This reminds me of a church pastor who behave just exactly that way. Even though he’s been serving in the ministry for decades, his mood swing is so obvious. One day, he told us that he gets agitated very quickly when he don’t sleep well the night before the Sunday sermon. I guess he must a lucky lot because he get cranky once in a blue moon which indirectly implies he sleep well most of the time!.

Okay, what else I wish to rant? Aha, there are some blogger who believed in the notion that one should not write any post for the sake of writing. In other words, no post is better than a lousy irrelevant post. I am not quite sure if I agree with that remark though.

I don’t see any harm in letting our mind to run freely and write anything that’s not relevant to the blog niche so long as you keep that to a minimum. After all, a blog is just that, a weblog where you pen your thoughts and sometime it is good to write something about facts of life and be a little crazy so to speak.

Some blogger think they can get away with mental block situation by deploying ‘autoblogging’ technique!  That’s a topic to for another time to discuss but I guess so long as you don’t plagiarize, steal content or even spin articles which then ends up with gibberish illogical grammar sentences it should be fine.

Come to think of it, it’s really kind of funny and weird because I used to hate writing, particularly during my school days. Fast forward thirty years later, here I am writing even though there is no teacher who will look over my shoulder to correct me or to reprimand me for being a lousy writer. It just comes naturally as one starts to build up the habit and interest to do so.

Someone once ask me why I choose to be blogger, what benefit do I get out from it (I told that chap I don’t earn much through blogging)  and if there will come a day I will quit all together and do something else more meaningful and enjoyable.  The fact of the matter is that I do enjoy blogging.

There is no hard fast rule on how to overcome writer’s block. You have to figure out the best approach to relax and free your mind from stress and distractions.  I usually make it a point to take a stroll in the evening,  watch a movie, read the newspaper or even take a nice shower and stay away from blogging at least till the next day.

Sometime the best ideas comes into your mind when you least you expect it.  Always make it a point write down what inspires you, preferably bring along with you a scratchpad and a pen wherever you are on the move (note: you can make use of smart mobile phone diary application to write down your thoughts and ideas whenever you are on the go ).

You just need to figure out what works best for you and then stick to that routine to refresh and rejuvenate your mind before you write. That’s so much so for today, just remember no one is born a gifted writer. You have to write as much as you can and in time to come,  your copy writing skills will improve before you even realize it!

One of the main reasons why there aren’t many successful blogger making good money online (consider the fact that there are millions of blogs in the world wide web!)  is because of the lack of ability to find good ideas to blog on. As the saying goes, content is king and rightfully so but did you know that a good article begins with a good title or topic that is interesting to the reader and it pulls traffic?

It does not matter if you are linguist expert or a gifted writer. If you choose an idea or a topic that is irrelevant, uninteresting, boring or dull then do not be surprise that your blog is going to be a deadwood sooner or later so to speak. You need to know who your target audiences are and then find the appropriate ideas to pen your thoughts, content that will continue to educate, challenge or excite them.

If you have a strong passion, interest and knowledge in the niche that you blog on then it is quite likely that you will be able to build targeted traffic and attract like minded readers to your site quite easily. You can then start to promote products or services to your readers.

Conversely it becomes very difficult for you to maintain the momentum to write high quality article consistently if you are not really ‘into’ into it. Sooner or later you will run out of topics and ideas if you do it with little or no passion.  Readers can sense  if you write posts for the sake of writing or you do it for the love of it.

A lot of people give up blogging after awhile not because they don’t have the time but rather because many do it for the wrong reasons and choose poor or bad topics to begin with and then they get bored with it. I am always reminded of motivational speaker  Zig Ziglar famous quote  ’give other what they want and you will get what you want’.

Is there any fail proof technique to find a good blog topic?  Do you need to do a lot of thinking, research or even be creative to create inspirational posts?

Problem Solving
Formulate your ideas based on how to solve a problem or how to improve one’s quality life. You can also consider ideas that get the reader to move out from their comfort zone and challenge them to think out of the box. Depending on the niche, you may also consider ideas that are controversial, teasing or exciting.  Some of the feedback by readers are important to help you formulate your future posts.

There are many ways to find new attention grabbing blog topics. Here are three effective and powerful techniques :

Online Forum Participation
There are many ways to find ideas for your posts.  Participate in forums relevant to your product niche and follow up with what people shared or discussed.  You will be surprised that some of the best ideas are found in forums. People are more willing to discussed problems or ideas in the online forums because they can choose to remain anonymous. Yahoo Answer is a great topic discovery tool to begin with. You can get plenty of ideas and topics to write based on the questions that people discussed or shared in the online community.

Rephrase An Answer Into A Question
You can find new ideas from past contents in your weblog by considering questions in the form of ‘what’, ‘why’, ‘when’ or ‘how’. For instance, if a content deals with ‘how’ you can explore ideas from different perspective such as ‘why’.  You will be surprised many new ideas to ponder out from one specific key point in the content.

This strategy is quite often overlook; it is quite effective to find new topics quickly. Sales Letters
This strategy is by far the easiest and most powerful means to find topics for blogging.  All the research has been done, particularly on areas that are considered emotional hot push buttons that triggers desires, anxiety, hope and etc.  To make my point clear lets consider a sales letter for eczema treatment with the following headlines and sub headlines.

Control your pain and encourage your skin to heal any infections or lesions with an intense antibacterial action.
Instantly ease your swelling and redness with a powerful anti-inflammatory action.
Diminish your inflammation and your irritation caused by eczema
Alleviate the chronic dryness in the skin by filling in the cracks and gaps in your skin.
Prevent moisture loss and work to restore your skin’s protective barrier

Each of the above key points can be used as ideas for your next post  just by phrasing it as a question using the  ”what”, “how”, “why”, “when” and etc. For e.g “How to control your pain ….. or “When to control your pain”…and etc.   You don’t have to figure out what ideas and keywords will interest the reader and  generate traffic.  All this is done by the expert copy writer who prepare the sales letter!

My computer was running slower and slower the past few weeks. I reckoned that one of the possible reasons for the slow performance (it used to boot up much faster) is that too many files are fragmented so one of the ways to optimize and speed it up is by defragmenting and optimizing the hard disk.

Boy am I surprised as I went through all the folders and the files I discovered numerous Internet marketing related training videos and tons of private label rights (PLR) materials that resides in my computer hard disk as digital dust. I don’t even recalled where and when I downloaded some of those materials.

Some of the training video materials are quite interesting and pretty much still relevant in today’s online business changing landscape. I thought it would good idea to share some of these training video materials with others so I uploaded some of it to my site.

Here’s a  video course on basic introduction to article marketing. Even though the video was made a few years ago I think it is still pretty much relevant and applicable in today in driving targeted traffic and building backlinks to your site.

You may not be able to get your website rank high quickly  particularly with recent Google Panda update but nevertheless by using the right keywords in your article, you can still generate quality back links that contribute to overall  improve search ranking.

You don’t need to be an expert in the language, grammatically or literally, in order to be successful in article marketing but you do need to ensure the content you produce is free from grammar and spelling mistakes.

You may outsource this work if you don’t enjoy writing or you are not good at it.  You don’t have to spend too much time to prepare content because you are not doing  a PhD paper submission. You can also make use of PLR (Private Label Rights) contents as reference and ideas to jump start your writing ideas.

I strongly discourage spinning or rewriting of private label right materials because it is just simply not the right thing to do. ( No doubt there are many people submit spin or rewrite articles and this is the main reason why Google has recently lower the link values from article directories.)

Do spend some time to research the topic and gather as much information based on your experience, knowledge and any related content that you gathered in your research. The more you write the more proficient you will be and the shorter time it will take for you to create a quality article for submission.

Instead of touching on what you should do, I will discuss one big mistake that you ought to avoid.  Article preparation is one of your biggest investment (in terms of the amount of time that you put into it  if you create your own content ) so don’t let it go to waste.

One common and not so obvious article marketing mistake is using the same author name for all the articles you submit.  It might seems alright to do so but you should not.Use different pen name for different article niche instead.When you use the same name all over the place, readers might cast doubt on your credibility and lost trust on your article.

It is not surprising for some people to be proficient and well versed with ten or less domain knowledge.  Of course there are certainly some who are experts in several fields, nevertheless branding is one key element that you need to pay attention to and the more focus and specific your area of expertise the easier it is for you to establish a credible brand in the eyes of your readers.

Would you be on your guard if someone were to to told you that Anthony Robbins is also a master of ship building?  Well, if I were you I would be on my toes not simply because I don’t believe he is not talented to be so but rather for the simple fact that subconsciously  I brand and link him as authoritative figure of personal success coaching only.

For instance, would you convince if say Mr ‘X’ proclaim himself an authority figure on various niches such as  ‘panda rearing’, ‘car racing’,'sky diving’,'scuba diving’ and etc?  Of course probably not and you were right to doubt so,  it might be that Mr ‘X’ either outsource content generation or that he is an expert in content spinning.

Everyone is entitle to their own opinion but the way I see it, it is more convincing if you submit articles for none related different niches under different pen name.  Some article and ezine directories imposed limitation on the number of pen names or co-authors allowed for one user account so you should try to spread your article distribution using different user log-in credential.

Apart from reader perception described earlier in this article, you should avoid using your real name in all articles that you submit. There is always a certain element of security risks associated with real name  disclosed in the Internet.

I bet many Internet Marketing Guru use nick names or pen-names for many of the articles they submit.  Many do this with the intention to cover their trails so to speak. (Prevent others from analyzing their sales pages, websites, notably to hamper the effectiveness of  competitor analysis).

There are many ways for you to mess up your article marketing campaigns. Using the same author name for every articles you submit is a big mistake that you should avoid.  No matter how good your articles are, readers tend to form a perception based on several factors and suffice to say, author name is definitely one of the them.

Why me, why me? I am sure many of us ask this question one way or another in our struggle with adversity in life. After all, the life we live on this blue planet is full of surprises, it is a challenge to cope with events that affects us, situations that we do not anticipate and which we have no total control of. It is easy for us to find excuses and put the blame on others for our predicaments.

Life is never a bunch of roses so to speak.  It is through hardship and adversity that we continue to grow, improve and enhance mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Struggle is part of living , no risk no gain, no pain no glory so to speak. I know that such saying might be out of touch for some people however the time will come that each and everyone will have to deal with crisis one way or another.

After all, it is more of some sort of natural reflex for us to find the path of least resistance to deal with difficulties confronting us. Indulging in self pity is one of them. We lament that we are not rich because we are not born with a silver spoon in our mouth. It is easier to explain why things go wrong  by directing the cause and effect away from us rather then to accept the fact that we are part of the problem and we can make a difference by taking responsibility for it.

We think other are better than us because they have higher IQ and intellectual ability to climb the rope of success. We resign to so-called fate or destiny and blame all our woes on karma. No amount of self improvement and personal development books that we read will make any difference so long as we are not willing to flip the switch in our mind to the ‘I can’ mentality.

Did you know that regardless of circumstances in life, you can make a difference and improve your lot and achieve all desires by having the right mindset? Sometimes, the greatest lesson and enlightenment comes not through what the personal development Guru says but through real life experiences and examples.

I stumble across this You-tube video about a physically challenge man who live life the fullest, the way he wanted it despite severe shortcomings. I find many of such real live events really inspiring. After all, we live only this once, and we should spend each moment to the best of what we can be and not want we think we could’ve become.

You don’t have to be angry with yourself, you certainly don’t have to be angry with others and makes life more complicated than it is when things go wrong.  Life as we know is transient, it is what we make it out to be and by the way, it is not how long you live that matters but rather how you live your life.

Stop finding excuses,  take responsibility when things don’t turn out the way you expect and chart your own course in life. Don’t wait for others to tell you what to do. As the saying goes, failure to plan is planning to fail. If you don’t make decisions, others will make on behalf of you and chances are that you will not like the outcome of such decisions made by others.

I am addicted to Samsung Mobile Galaxy S2 phone. It never occur to me that mobile technology has progressed by leaps and bounds the past few years .  There are so many things that you can do with it nowadays. It is no longer just a normal phone one use  to typically make or receive calls. On a personal note, for me, Android OS is indeed a life changing technology that opens up new opportunities to connect and reach out to the world.

It has become somewhat like a Swiss all in one army knife so to speak. Integrated high resolution camera, huge memory storage, high speed processor, GPS,  improve wireless technology, larger screen display and other plethora of function rich enhancements turn a palm size communication gadget into super powerful mini computer.

Mobile applications are  key enablers that makes it what it is of today.  Apart from standard apps such as SMS, email, camera, games, radio and music,  mobile social media networking and bookmarking apps such as Facebook, YouTube, StumbleUpon and tons of cool apps makes it a must bring along gadget wherever you are.

One interesting and cool feature that I really like is the fact that you can instantly upload pictures and videos that you capture from you phone to YouTube or Facebook!. You can also blog while you are on the move, say in the bus or train but please refrain from doing while you are on the wheels driving!

You can also do serious work stuffs with it too for instance, write and respond to business emails, create or edit documents such as spreadsheets and all sort of Office documents. Boy, you can even do live video conferencing with people half the world away.  I wonder what else the smart phone cannot do!.

Okay, I think I am getting ahead of myself. I am really glued and stuck to Android apps.  Even though the Galaxy S2 is not the best smart-phone around, nevertheless I like it because it is quite easy to use, and not restricted to stuffs like Apple where most apps need to be register and downloaded via iTune.

Last but not least, all serious Internet Marketers and online business entrepreneurs should not overlook the potential to generate lucrative income with  mobile marketing.  Google indicates that its daily mobile ads revenue is at least US$10million a day!

More and more consumers are making purchase and e-commerce transaction via their mobile phone so the sooner you mobilize your online business the sooner you get to reach out to billions of prospects and customers.  Mobile marketing is not the future, it is now and you need to make plans to make your business websites to be mobile friendly.

Did you know that customer retention of 5% translate to something from 30% to 80% improvement in business profits? On the same token, it is said that it takes eight times as hard to convince a new prospect to buy your products versus a repeated customer.

It takes hard work to retain customers but if you are those who wish to kill your business then I have a great tip for you, continue to write blog post and email newsletter with misleading titles. Deceptive and manipulative words trigger human emotion and this is what some bloggers and writers believe should be done to trick people into reading their garbage contents.

Well, for sure one way that you get rid of your loyal subscribers and customers is by spitting out marketing emails and blog post with gross misleading headlines and titles. I come across many such irritating marketing emails and the most interesting part of it is that such emails are from well known Internet Marketing Gurus!

Come on all you so called online business entrepreneurs, don’t treat everyone like idiots cause we are not! Let me cite one typical example. A few days ago, a well recognized Marketing Guru send out an email with the headline ‘Why am I Giving Away My Free Product!’.

Anyone in their right mind will assume that he is giving away a good product for free with no strings attached so naturally a lot readers will open the email and read through it. When I was through with the email, apparently what this fella Alex actually meant was that he will give away his product for free for those who buy another product that he recommends!

Can you imagine what this fella is doing?  It seems to me he has taken a lot of people for a ride with this so called twisted  ’freebies’ emotion triggering  headlines. No thanks Alex, I am not an idiot and even though you are a well established Internet marketer, I am through with you and I unsubscribed from all his marketing newsletters!

One do not need to have a doctorate or a degree to write a good blog post title or email headline.  No doubt it is important to craft a header that attract attention, invoke curiosity or interest however never go overboard with it because you may end up annoying readers and causing more opt outs.

Some of the email marketing mistakes that you should avoid applies to blog posting as well. Do check some of the tips on how to avoid these email marketing mistakes.  It might take you years to build a good subscriber list so don’t lose them by committing silly subject headline mistakes.

Content generation is one of your biggest investment in terms of time and efforts. Content is king so to speak so you must make every effort to update your site with regular fresh quality postings.  Unfortunately the Internet technology also makes it more easier for people to steal information.

Here’s three simple tips to deal with plagiarism or digital content theft.  The first method involves filing a report o the admin of the host service provider where the sites are hosted. The second approach involves some tweaking to your RSS feeds.

 File A Report To WordPress.com or Blogger.com
Autoblogs are the biggest culprits as far as content duplication is concern.  Most autoblogging systems pulls RSS feeds and re-post the content as it is sans the author resource box (link to the originator of the information).  Many autoblogs are hosted on bloggerspot or the wordpress free service.

You can file a report or notify the admin or the PR of these services against the perpetrators.   Blogger is known to take actions against such weblogs.  I use to maintain a blogger blog with the same name ‘myhomebiznet.blogspot.com’.

All of a sudden Blogger shut down that blog because someone complain that it is spamming.  I was pretty sure I did not spam but anyway the bottom line is that if someone file a report against you in blogger.com you are done for…

Use Excerpts For The Feeds
Instead of posting the entire content to the feed, you can configure the feed to output  just excerpt of it. This will prevent autoblogging system from stealing your entire  content.  Furthermore, this method has the benefit of  increasing traffic juice to your site because the reader has to visit your site to read the rest of the post content.

Defer Feed Updates
I learned the hard way about this important factor.  Most of the WordPress blog feed is configured to auto update as soon as a  new article is posted online.  It can also be configured to auto ping RSS directories whenever new content is published.

You should delay the feed update for at least a day or two after your post is published online. This is done to ensure your article is index by the search engine first during the search engine page ranking process. You want to Google to identify you site as the originator of the post article. This is done in the first come first serve basis.

If your feed is updated without any delay, there is high chance that some autoblogs that pull  your feed content might end up being index by Google ahead of yours. As a result, mighty big-G might wrongly  sense or assume that your site is stealing content instead!

So that’s it, three simple tips to deal with copyright infringement and plagiarism.  These methods are not foolproof  but it might help in one way or another to make it more difficult for autoblogs and the likes to steal your valuable content.  Do check out my previous article on how to combat digital content theft
