Over ninety five percent of online business fails within the 1st five years. It is not by luck or chance for those who make it through and thrive to become multimillionaires. Your chances of success with any online business that you choose to be in depends on having the right mindset and executing the right strategy and techniques.
Here are five powerful tips that you should consider to improve your Internet Marketing success.
Manage your online activities and keep to a schedule.
One of the main challenges pertaining to running a home-based online business is that of time management. Quite often many people admittedly including myself will spend more time surfing sites such as YouTube and etc instead of focusing on what’s important to our online business.
For instance, sometimes it took me twice as long to write an article for posting even though I knew deep down inside I could get it done much sooner. The reason is because I get distracted easily by other sites and my mind starts to wonder into other interesting websites.
You need to exercise self discipline and adhere to strict tight deadline for each specific tasks that you are doing. In other words organize your life and online activities so that you get the most important and urgent tasks done at the soonest opportunity. You need to stay the course and have schedules to prevent yourself from side tracking to other unimportant things.
Know your subject and understand how things works from inside out
You don’t need to be a master and expert in Internet technology to make money online. You can even start a successful e-commerce site even if you do not know how to build a website. That goes without saying because there are software tools available which automates pretty much everything.
A car driver may not need to know the inner working details of the engine but it is good and essential that he knows how to check the brake oil, jump start the car, change the tyre and etc. You never know when such skills will comes in handy in times of emergency.
Likewise it is important and essential for you to have basic understanding of say HTML (hyper text mark up language) and knowledge on how to upload and download a file to your site using file transfer protocol (FTP) and etc. Learn as much as you can and don’t have the wrong notion that there is absolutely no need to learn just because there are automated tools to get the job done.
Use the right tools
Use the most appropriate and suitable tools for working towards your end. That does not imply you have to use the latest tools but it helps in some way as Internet technology and marketing landscape change quickly. Some older software tools, strategies and techniques may become obsolete or not as effective down the road.
Don’t try to be a complete cheapo and rely on just free tools to get the job done. As with any other real business, you need to invest some capital to build up your online business. You should reinvest some of the profits back into your business. Invest in software tools and information that improves your productivity!
Do not reinvent the wheel.
Don’t waste your time to try to reinvent the wheel. Use the wheel instead, make it more better and powerful. For instance, you don’t need to create a super product that is out of this world. Find out a product or service that sells well and do further market research to know what’s lacking and customer wishlist. Join relevant discussion groups and forums to get to know more about customers expectations of future product enhancements.
Anticipate future needs
Try to predict the future trend with regards to your niche market and develop a unique product that will stand out and make a difference to people’s life. Do not focus on the outcome on the product in terms of dollars and cents but rather on how the product is going to improve one’s well being.

A lot of people still make lots of money from eBay. You can build a reasonable and comfortable living through eBay. You can promote both physical as well as digital information products via eBay. It’s surprisingly easy to kill your eBay business, if you’re not careful – sure, you can start over from scratch without it costing you anything, but do you really want to? Still, if you want your business to end up dead in the water, here are some simple ways to do it.
Lie about an item: Say it works fine when it sometimes doesn’t work. Say it’s in perfect condition when it has a scratch. Your customers will hate you!
Post whenever you feel like it: Make sure to leave your customers hanging around, wondering when their item is going to turn up. This makes sure they buy from someone else next time.
Let items end anytime: Few people will be around to care about your auction if it ends in the middle of the night. Why go to the trouble of working out whether auctions will end at a good time?
Don’t bother with email: Customers are just timewasters anyway. eBay businesses are supposed to run themselves! Never give informed responses to questions about your item.
Sell rubbish: Really, it’s just eBay. You can just sell any old tat from the market for a 200% profit. Let quality be someone else’s concern – I mean, really, what do they expect for that price?
Refuse to give discounts: You know what your items cost, you know what your profit margin is going to be, and you’re not going to negotiate. Remember that giving customers special deals might make them feel good and come back to you again.
Make your listings ugly: As many colours, flashing lights and animations as possible will really give those customers a headache. Write as much in CAPITALS!!!! as you can. Preferably big, red capitals. Be sure to use the fonts Impact and Comic Sans. For an extra special touch, see if you can figure out a way to add some music.
Don’t take photos: It’s such trouble, after all. If buyers are picky enough to actually want to see items before they bid on them, then screw ’em, that’s what I say.
Write short descriptions: Be as brief as possible, and use lots of mysterious abbreviations. This obviously makes you look very cool. You can even just write the title again in the description box. Think of the effort you’ll save!
Use reserve auctions: Now, this is a fairly controversial final choice, but it really is one of the best ways to scare away your customers. They’ll see ‘reserve not yet met’, and click that ‘back’ button before you know it. Luckily, they can always bid in a normal auction for the item somewhere else.
Now that you know the ten ways to kill your eBay business, how about we explore what to do if you want to do the opposite, and make a success of it?

I’m directing this article to those who are just starting their eBay Selling Venture. Whether you’re selling books, DVDs, CDs, collectibles or clothing, all things (with the exception of eBooks and services) need to be mailed. And it’s the postage, handling fees and mailing that seems to cause a great deal of angst among new sellers.
You’ve heard the advice – don’t overcharge for shipping. That is very good advice, indeed, as nothing turns off potential buyers like sellers who gouge you on the shipping costs. It’s also a practice that can rack up bad feedback.
However, I’m going to play Devil’s Advocate here and suggest that you don’t go overboard and give so much of a break on shipping that you’re chipping away at your profits. It’s good to remember the “hidden costs” of shipping: bubble wrap to secure your breakables, tape, shipping envelopes, boxes, etc. Then there’s the gas you put in your car to take all those trips to the post office.
You might think I’m being cheap, but, if you added up all your eBay expenses for the year (as some did for their recent taxes) you might be shocked to see how all the packing materials and gas for your car added up and took a little chunk out of your eBay profits. And, believe me, they do add up.
Some people are even more surprised to find they underestimated the weight of their packages, causing their profits to shrink even further.
How can you be fair to both you and your buyers?
1. Buy a scale. It may sound simple, but purchasing a scale can save you a bundle in shipping. If you’re just eyeballing the weight of the package, you can often times guess too low, and be in for quite a shock when you go to the post office and see the package is going to cost twice what you thought to ship.
2. Know the dimensions of your packaging before listing the item. Some packages cost more to ship because of their dimensions. Knowing the weight alone isn’t enough.
3. Offer the buyer a variety of shipping methods. Some prefer speedy delivery with Express mailing, while some prefer to save money with parcel post even though the wait is longer. It’s always a good idea when using parcel post or other slower ground shipping to alert the buyer by email that it can take anywhere from 8 to 10 days.
4. Save yourself money whenever possible by using boxes that have been used. Most stores are more than happy to let you rummage through their old boxes and take some home with you. But, do remember to choose boxes that are presentable, secure and strong enough for your items. And, if you have breakables, don’t skimp on the bubble wrap.
5. Give yourself a small handling fee that will cover your expenses. Some sellers add on an additional $1 or $2 to the shipping fees for their handling fees (depending on the cost of the item and how much packaging you have to use). I really advocate doing this because your expenses will add up if you do a lot of selling on eBay. Be sure to be upfront with your buyers that you have a small handling fee so they can’t complain about it later.
Being fair to both yourself and your buyer will keep you both happy, and keep more of your profit in your pocket.
Lastly, if you want to make some serious money on eBay, check out this ebook “eBay Inside Out“. It has changed my life by simply following the system exactly. I’m now a Platinum eBay Powerseller selling fulltime on eBay, making average $50k of sales every month, you too can make it! The dawn of the internet revolutionized the way for businesses and other similar entities to go about their marketing strategies. It has proven to be a faster and better way in conducting most business activities, and more and more entrepreneurs have already ventured into online marketing since it is more convenient and can help them reach their target consumers with minimal costs involved.
There are different types of online marketing strategies that can be utilized, but among the most subtle but most effective ones would be SEO (Search Engine Optimization) through article marketing. Why subtle? This is because writing articles for SEO purposes need not involve a lot of selling spiels or does not call for talent in making catchy slogans for advertising purposes.
On the contrary, writing for SEO purposes would mean writing articles that are informative and useful; giving people something that would help them learn about the product and/or services that a certain business entity offers. But then, writing on the same topics over and over again can prove to be a tedious endeavor, and using the exact same article on different sites would cause search engines to ban your site in the long run since they will more likely than not perceive your copy and paste activities as spamming. Not unless you give credit or cite the original source of the content.
Avoiding this would call for more original articles, but then, even the best of writers would eventually experience brain drain if subjected to writing about the same topics over and over again.
Article software like UAW, The Best Spinner, and Power Article Rewriter now exist, and it’s a very good thing for article marketers. These software have truly revolutionized article marketing, and resulted in higher search engine rankings which, in turn, enabled websites to generate more revenues. All types of online business – whether it be a mom-and-pop store, a gadget company, or an affiliate seller – will surely be able to derive lots of benefits using this type of software.
The main benefit that article software can give is to take away the hassle of having to manually submit articles to different submission sites. But then, software can only do so much; that is, submitting your articles to different submission sites, or spinning them a bit to make them appear more unique to search engines.
They do not really have features to create different author names and resource boxes, and you would still need to manually create these crucial elements just to be sure that everything will appear unique. It’s almost the same problem experienced in writing about the same things over and over again. Having to spend hours on end meticulously making sure that the HTML tags in the resource boxes are coded correctly and thinking of different author names can eventually wear out even the best writers in the world.
There are lots of software tools whose main purpose is to churn out unique articles from an original one and submitting them to hundreds to thousands of websites, but so far, there are very few known tools that can generate hundreds to thousands of resource boxes, article titles, and author names. Known as Article Toolbox, this tool works like a charm.
Absolutely anyone can generate unique author names, article titles, as well as resource boxes with just a few mouse clicks. It was designed for one purpose alone, that is, to make article marketing stress-free and enjoyable; something that anybody can look forward to anytime.
Article software has made the SEO efforts of online businesses so much easier, especially when you consider the new line of products that are now starting to emerge. Once you are able to know how to make these tools work together harmoniously, you can always be sure that you will see all your writing efforts just like an enjoyable walk in the park.

Affiliate marketing can be a very profitable and rewarding venture. Plus, the process of affiliate marketing is easy, because you don’t have to create your own products. On the other hand, sometimes affiliate marketers look at the business and try to perform their duties in a way that isn’t conducive to success. No matter how hard they try, there are plenty of affiliate marketers who just go about their business the wrong way and end up regretting it.
Everyone makes mistakes, and they are all-too-common learning experiences, but mistakes in affiliate marketing mean losses both in income and time. There are even times that mistakes can set the stage for no one to make a purchase. If you find that you are failing to make money with affiliate marketing, you need to know you are not the only one. This article was written to help you understand some of the most common mistakes make by affiliates. This will make it easier for you to avoid them and for you to successfully build affiliate campaigns.
The first mistake is attempting too single-minded to create sales. With affiliate marketing, one of the main things that you must keep in mind and be careful about is hard selling the product you’re promoting. When you’re promoting a product, you should try to create a certain bond with the prospect and take the whole selling process differently. You absolutely have to avoid looking like a salesman, which can put off most customers; try to act as a friend. It really helps when you yourself really like the product that you’re promoting, as you can more adequately demonstrate just how much that product can help them as much as it’s helped you. Being genuine will help your current sales, and ultimately insure you future sales as well.
Allowing Yourself to Become Stale You always want to keep your option open. This means that you should always be watching for new products being released in your market. Staying informed of the latest events in affiliate marketing will keep you current on things of which you should be aware. Not only will this be beneficial to you, if you put updates on your site, you will be able to let your customers know of any changes or new products. This will increase your credibility and help to form a strong customer base. Further, this effort is an ideal method of remaining in front of your competition, something which is very important to your success.
Failure to Track Conversions It is vital that an affiliate knows what product is converting and what is not. If you are not going to track your conversions, you are leaving a lot of money on the table. This is especially true if you use PPC to promote your affiliate products. By keeping track of conversions, you will be able to turn losses into profits. When you see a product is not converting (turning into sale), you can do some research to find out why. If you find it is that the sales page is not convincing enough, you can move onto another product. It is a big mistake to stay with a product that is failing to convert. You need to be quick on your feet.
Instead of splitting your attention among a bunch of substandard products, why not go for an affiliate product that guarantees you a commission of at least 50%, and then pour all your energy into properly promoting it? The best approach is to go steadily instead of rushing; this will ensure that you earn more money over the long term.
