The weather is pretty unpredictable in Colorado. One moment its sunshine and before you know the next day it is rainy, cold and snows. The weather was surprisingly cold and wet over the weekend. A colleague from Longmont brought me to visit the animal sanctuary situated about 30 miles away.
The sanctuary is one of largest in the United States. It covers something like over a hundred and 60 acres. There were lions, tigers, bears and all sorts of abandon animals. The Wild Animal Sanctuary as it is called is a non-profit organization and relies on public donation for the upkeep and feeding of animals.
Most of these animals are carnivores but somewhat domesticated and not likely to survive if left to fend themselves. The Wild Animal Sanctuary needs the contribution and support of the public. The increasing numbers of animals that are abandoned, mistreated or smuggled illegal into the country has risen over the years.
The animals will have to be put to sleep if the fund for feeding and maintenance runs out. If you are interested to contribute, do visit www. WildAnimalSanctuary.Org to further understand the activities involved.
