Here is a great article on criteria that you need to consider before you sign up with a web service provider. A lot of novice and newbie Internet marketers or online business owners choose a web service provider based solely on the cost.

No doubt cost is important factor particularly if you have not make any money online or you are operating on tight shoe string budget however there are many other more important criteria which has tremendous impacts on the success your e-business.

I made the big mistake of choosing a shared web host service provider without doing any proper research and as a result it cost me dearly in terms of the amount of time and efforts wasted because of frequent disruption to the service and other tons of problems.

Even up to know, web page loading is extremely slow particularly if it involved server side script executions. I wouldn’t want to further elaborate on tons of other problems with this cheap web service provider. Suffice to say, don’t make hasty decisions and don’t trust the sales page of the web service provider. Take time to do research and gather both positive and negative feedback.

The amount of time and efforts you put into building your online business far out weight and exceed the cost of the web service you sign up for. The last thing you ever want to happen to you is to have your account terminated or even suspended by irresponsible service providers that lacks integrity and poor after sales support. Don’t short change yourself or be a ‘cheapo’ so to speak, only to become penny wise pound foolish in the long run so to speak.

If you want to treat your online business as a hobby then by all means go ahead to engage any web service provider. If you are really serious about making money online then you ought to focus on the quality and reputation of the web service provider ability to cope with increase traffic overload to your sites, software and application backward compatibility and etc.
